Change of registrant

  • A change of registrant is no longer possible until September 2025, as confirmed by the Registry - Exceptions can be made if there is a legitimate reason for an owner change. For example, if there has been a legal name change, company has dissolved, company has merged, etc… Document/s of proof will be required. The Registry will review the documents and will decide on whether or not to approve the change. Please send the required information of the new Registrant (as per the "Restrictions" section) and the document/s of proof to our fulfillment team.
  • Please note, a registrant details update is allowed, where only the registrant address, email address and phone number is updated.

Domain Renewal

Domain Deletion

For an explicit deletion of a domain name a special document is required. The document can be found on the registry website!. After the document has been filled out and signed from the registrant please send the document to our fulfillment team.

Domain Restore

RestoreDomain is not available for .com.tr TLDs.

Domain Extensions for natural persons

If registrant is based in Turkey, the 11 digit citizen ID number is required.

If registant is based outside of Turkey and cannot provide an 11 digit personal ID number, the following number should be filled in: 222222222222

Domain Extensions for organisations or companies

Domain Restrictions

Anyone can apply for a .COM.TR domain, documents are no longer required. Only the below information is required:

  • For Companies based in Turkey:
    • The Tax ID is required, please provide the 11 digit Tax ID number.
    • The Tax Office is required, please provide the Tax Office name.
  • For Companies based outside of Turkey:
    • The Tax ID is required, if the customer does not have an 11 digit Tax ID number, please provide the following number: 22222222222
    • The Tax Office is required, please provide the Tax Office City name.
  • For Individuals based in Turkey:
    • The Citizen ID number is required, please provide the 11 digit Turkish Citizen ID number.
  • For Individuals based outside of Turkey:
    • The Citizen ID number is required, If the Registrant does not have an 11 digit personal ID number, please provide the following number: 222222222222

Fulfillment Info

FTLD .com.tr is a Fulfillment TLD. Fullfilment TLDs (FTLDs) are registered through a manual registration process. The manual registration process might involve documents, depending on respective registry regulations, and are therefore not automated for real-time registrations and real-time updates. Updates might cause additional costs!

IDN Information

  • Although Turkish encoded domain names registered through our system contain Turkish characters in browsers, the name servers still use a special ASCII representation of them. For this reason, you must use the ASCII representation of the IDN for the configuration of the name servers.
  • Allowed chars ğ, ı, ü, ş, ö, ç
