• If the registrant is a company you have to provide a valid VAT-No. together with the AddDomain command.

.ro trades for domains, which have been registered or transferred prior to 2018/04/03, are currently only possible through our fulfillment team. You will receive the price upon a request.

For .ro domains that have been registered through or transferred to our automated system after this date, the trade can be initiated but will NOT be processed automatically in real time! A successful trade will start the domain registration period from the beginning and all previously remaining registration time will be lost.

• To initiate a trade, a TRADE token is required and can be requested by the domain owner at https://rotld.ro/domadmin/
  • After being login, the registrant has to chose the option “Transfer right of use - generation of an Authorization Key for trade of the domain YOURDOMAIN.ro from a domain owner to another owner. This Authorization Key is sent at the domain owner e-mail address.” to request the token, which will be sent by email to the domain owner
• It is mandatory to submit the appropriate X-RO-EXTENSION, depending on the type of owner, with the trade request
• The following process needs to be performed after the trade has been initiated:
  • A new Registrant needs to provide :
    1. a copy of ID (passport preferred) if the new owner is an individual;or
    2. a copy of the company registration/incorporation if the new owner is a company.
  • The customer needs to provide you the password and the authorization key so
  • The current registrar will be able to initiate the trade (registrant’s update) and the online form will be e-mailed to the current registrant’s e-mail address.
  • It needs to be signed, dated and stamped (if the company has a stamp) by the current owner/registrant.
  • Then the signed form must be uploaded together with a copy of the current registrant’s ID and a company document (if the current registrant is a company) via online link. This link is provided in the e-mail that has the form and will expire in 10 days from receiving it.
  • When the documents are uploaded to the link, please forward us confirmation to allow us to take further action.

Domain Deletion

In order to delete a .ro domain, which has been registered or transferred prior to 2018/04/03, you have to send a fax to the registry. The form can be created through the https://www.formgenerator.net/ (fax no: +40-21-316 10 84)
Further you have to send the original document to the registry via mail to:

For .ro domains that have been registered through or transferred to our automated system after the above mentioned date, the deletion can be processed automatically.

Domain Transfer

The transfer code can only be requested by the registrant in his account at rotld.ro (“2. Acquiring Authorization Key for domain transfer from” is the correct option).

Domain Restore

The restore request will be manually processed by our support team for domains, which have been registered or transferred prior to 2018/04/03. You will be notified by email. Restore requests, for domains registered or transferred after the due date, are processed automatically.

Domain Extensions for Natural Persons

Domain Restrictions

• Both, company registration number (any country) and TAX ID or VAT ID of the company are required.
  • For individuals, passport or ID number is required.
