Registrant changes for .mt domains can be done via API or webinterface. The expiration date of the domain will not be changed.

.mt domains have to be renewed 6 weeks prior to their expiration date.

Command
DeleteDomain

is not available for .mt TLDs.

As .mt domains cannot be deleted explicitly. To delete a .mt domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to AUTODELETE or AUTOEXPIRE.

  • During the registration process, a document has to be signed by the domain name owner, which the Fulfillment Team will send you, once your registration request has been submitted.
  • The domain name owner has to ensure that he has the right to use the name as a Full Trade Mark or Trade or Business Name in accordance with Maltese Law.

FTLD .mt is a Fulfillment TLD. Fullfilment TLDs (FTLDs) are registered through a manual registration process. The manual registration process might involve documents, depending on respective registry regulations, and are therefore not automated for real-time registrations and real-time updates. Updates might cause additional costs!
