.ly domains have to be renewed 60 days prior to their expiration date.

Domain Deletion

Command

DeleteDomain

is not available for .ly TLDs.

As .ly domains cannot be deleted explicitly. To delete a .ly domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to AUTODELETE or AUTOEXPIRE.

Domain Restore

is not available for .ly TLDs.

Restores for .ly are not possible.

Domain Restrictions

• Domain names must not contain obscene, scandalous, indecent, or contrary to Libyan law or Islamic morality words, phrases nor abbreviations.
• Strings shorter than four symbols long are to be registered directly under .ly ONLY through Libya Telecom and Technology in the upcoming period to guarantee that registrants have local presence.

Fulfillment Info

FTLD .ly is a Fulfillment TLD. Fullfilment TLDs (FTLDs) are registered through a manual registration process. The manual registration process might involve documents, depending on respective registry regulations, and are therefore not automated for real-time registrations and real-time updates. Updates might cause additional costs!
