Please find in the following a set of the most commonly used standard API commands in order to register, modify, renew, and transfer a domain name.

• It is mandatory to submit the birthday of the Admin-C!

Which documents are required?

• For legal entities / companies:
  • A copy of a document confirming state registration of a legal entity issued by the state authorities(certificate of registration, excerpt from the commercial register)
• For natural persons and entrepreneurs:
  • A copy of the international passport or ID card
  • A copy of the ID/passport of the Admin-C is always needed

How to submit the documents?

• Please send the documents as PDF file only via e-mail to the e-mail address: [email protected]

The e-mail subject MUST include the respective domain name and your RRPproxy account name following this syntax:

• .ee Registration
  Example: exampledomain.ee Registration reseller1

In order to help prevent abuse, please collect yourself the documents of your customers and send us the files in the above format by e-mail.

Domain Modification

Standard command

For contact updates, it is mandatory to provide the zone specific parameters associated with the different contact types(admin, tech and billing) as shown in the AddDomain command.

Additionally if the admin-contact is changed, the parameter ACCEPT-TRADE=1 also has to be added. Be aware that a trade fee will be charged in this case.

Change of Registrant

• To change the registrant, please send the new documents as .pdf attachment to [email protected]. The subject has to be in the form:
  • .ee Update
    Example: exampledomain.ee Update reseller1
• The expiration date of the domain will not be changed.
• It is possible to also update other contacts(admin, tech and billing) along with the trade; wherefore it is mandatory to provide the zone specific parameters for these contacts

The auth code can also be obtained directly from the registry by the registrant at https://registrant.internet.ee/login
By clicking on Sign In, the registrant can create an account following the instructions on the website.

Domain Restore

NO restores possible for deleted domains. However, expired domains can be re-activated within 45 days (domains will deactivated 14 days after the expiration date). This re-activation involves a 1-year renewal.

Domain Restrictions

• No domain name which is in contravention of public order or generally recognised moral standards or if it may mislead the public.
• Certain domains are blocked and these cannot be registered as a Domain Name. The list of blocked domains is published on the EIF website.
• Certain domains are reserved and these can only be registered as Domain Names under special conditions. The list of reserved domains and the special conditions for their registration are published on the EIF website.
• Legal persons cannot assign as admin contact
• com.ee - Only for companies (incorporated entities) as defined in the Commercial Code
• pri.ee - individuals
• fie.ee - self employed people (sole proprietors) as defined in the Commercial Code
• med.ee - for medical instituations
• The following status are not supported
  • ClientDeleteProhibited, ClientHold, ClientRenewProhibited, ClientTransferProhibited, ClientUpdateProhibited

IDN Information

A domain name compliant with the definition in the Domain Regulation and containing at least one of the following letters with diacritical marks: õ, ä, ö, ü, š or ž.
