Registrant changes for .cy domains can be done via API or webinterface. The expiration date of the domain will not be changed.

Domain Renewal

• .cy domains have to be renewed six(6) weeks prior to their expiration date.
• .cy domains will always expire on December 31st!

Domain Deletion

is not available for .cy TLDs.

As .cy domains cannot be deleted explicitly. To delete a .cy domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to AUTODELETE or AUTOEXPIRE.

Domain Extensions

Domain Extensions for Natural Persons

X-PERSONAL-ID	Passport or ID card number of the domain name holder (individual)

Domain Extensions for Organisations or Companies

X-COMPANY-REG-ID	Business / company registration number of the domain name holder company

Domain Restrictions

• Business Registration certificate of the owner is required, if the owner is a legal entity.
• Additionally, for companies outside of Cyprus, the company VAT number is required.
• Copy of the ID/passport of the owner’s representative is required, if the owner is an individual.
• Please send the documents to our fulfillment team after you have submitted your registration request.
• If your company is based outside of Cyprus, please send the documents and the VAT number to the fulfillment team after you have submitted your registration request.

Fulfillment Info

FTLD .cy is a Fulfillment TLD. Fullfilment TLDs (FTLDs) are registered through a manual registration process. The manual registration process might involve documents, depending on respective registry regulations, and are therefore not automated for real-time registrations and real-time updates. Updates might cause additional costs!
