Please find in the following a set of the most commonly used standard API commands in order to register, modify, renew, and transfer a domain name.

  • After a successful registration of the domain, it will be transfer locked from the registry for a period of 30 days.
  • NIC.CL gives 30 days from the first request, where a person or company can present an opposition for the same .cl. If there is more than one request for the domain name it is taken to arbitration to decide to whom it is assign.

  • After a successful transfer, the domain is locked for a period of 30 days.
  • Authcodes can be updated in two ways and are valid for a period of 30 days

  • Only individual and juridical persons can register domain names under the ccTLD .cl.
  • For Chilean citizens, it is optional to provide the correct borough and corresponding number; a zip code is mandatory at all
